I am in my late twenties and exploring the world through an artists and historian eyes. I’ve been blogging since 2007 and still exploring that world. I graduated from Salisbury University in the Winter of 2007. I am currently working part time as a computer intern at the Public School System and during my days off I donate my time doing freelance and volunteer work for non-profits. I have a degree in Visual Communications with a focus in Graphic Design. I have an interested in web design, photography, history, psychology, film history, history, living history, preservation, cooking, gardening and education.
What’s Wandering Roads?
I had a tough time coming up with a name for this blog because I did not want to focus on any of the subjects I currently blog about, which seems to focus on reenacting and travel. I wanted to talk about the project I currently am involved with and projects I do just to practice the skill of graphic and web design. I am still learning about myself as an individual, artist and historian and wandering the roads of finding a full time career. So that is the essence of Wandering Roads and hope you find my blog interesting & some what helpful.
About Sagittarius Creations:
Before leaving college we had to develop a website where we could promote our artwork and show case future projects. We decided that any other name would not fit the type of work we do and every other name we came up with was already taken. So since we love to create and our zodiac sign is Sagittarius we felt the name would pretty much stick no matter what kind of artwork we designed/created. We have a background in photography, ceramics, painting, drawing, graphic and web design. We are always looking for new projects and organizations to use our artist talents. We hope to provide greater insight of our lives and artwork through this blog.
Elisa:
I have a degree in Visual Communications with a focus in Graphic Design. I’ve studied Graphic Design for 1yr and 6 months in college and still continue to explore the art form. While attending college I took courses in Art History, Typography, Packaging, Digital Photography and Black & White Photography. I’ve been out of college for about 3 yrs.
I’ve been designing and editing websites for non-profits for the bulk of the time; until a full time job becomes available. I’ve been interested in history since I was 16 yrs old and have been interested in living history since I was 21 yrs old. Recently I joined a reenacting group and hope to learn more about the hobby and history by experiencing it.
Jennifer:
I have always had an interest in the arts. Thankfully I had parents that got me into art camp including a couple of performing art camps when I was young. I later decided that I enjoyed creating art then performing it. In high school I enjoyed studying ceramics and photography. During my college days I had the opportunity to study all the art and later decided to get into more of the web, graphic and new media art. I graduated in 2004 with an General Associate in Art and in February 2008 I received my BA in Visual Communications towards Graphic Design.
