Projects

Upon graduating we decided to pursue into a graphic designing career.  Seemed easy enough and a good goal to obtain at the time, but very hard to accomplish when you have no real world experience.  So instead of waving the white flag in defeat we started looking for places especially non-profits who needed web designing assistance.  Upon meeting with many of these non-profits we would be sometimes a week to several months too late since they already had someone redesigning their website.

Web For All – Coming May 2011
Is a place where non-profits in Southern Maryland can promote events & programs as well as place ads for help and volunteers.  Web For All will also be a source for non-profits to gain web support and help in getting themselves online.

Kids Website- March 2011 – June 2011
Jefferson Patterson Park is acres of land that was given to the State of Maryland in 1983.  Since then it has become a State Park and recently all Maryland Parks redesigned their websites to use the same template. With this change the park has added new pages onto the site.  One of these pages they added was a section to help kids & teens understand what is Archaeology.

Extreme Pressure Designs – February 2011 – Present
T-shirt company for the scuba diving community founded by a husband and wife team.  Sagittarius Creations is the core designers and artists of the t-shirts.  The t-shirts should be available in scuba diving stores and traveling agencies this summer.

Kitty Tales – June 2010 – July 2011
It all started with a little baby kitten named Sherlock who died only living for a month.  After three months after his death his brothers and sisters just started to show up.  We rescued, fed, cleaned and finally had them all adopted by the first week of December.  Kitty Tales talks about our journey rescuing feral cats  and the continued struggle to end domesticated cat abandonment.

Give Camp – March 19 – 21, 2010
A camp where designers, developers and non-profits join forces to recreate or edit current websites.  We were part of the designing team where we edited logos, create backgrounds and all the other designing aspects of web design.  Even though we are designers, we are also developers because we know how to create a website and post onto the Internet.

Historical Society – October 2008 – Present
Goal is to collect, protect and preserve the documents from past.  Dedicating a lot of my time preserving written documents by scanning them and digitizing the documents.  We also have redesigned and edited their website.

CAWLs – March 2008 – Present
We have been cat caregivers for over a year and recently we have joined forces in editing current and future graphic material.  We are in the process of redesigning a few of their print material for events happening in 2010.

Circle of Angels – January 2009 – Present
Circle of Angels is a nonprofit who works with local organizations that promote mentoring, end hunger/poverty and help people in crisis.  We are responsible for the editing of the website.

WeReenact.net – November 2007 – Present
One of our final projects we did during the last two month at college.  There are similar websites of this kind but finding the information requires more time from visitors.   It takes away the time that it takes to  find historical events and sutlers (reenacting shops/artisans) so more time is dedicated in the actual research.

These are the core projects we’re currently are involved in.
